As the country gears up for Durga Puja, Bollywood celebs also joined the festivities and shared pictures from their celebrations on social media.
MP and actor Nushrat Jehan has been sharing fresh looks for each day of Navaratri, reports Hindustan Times.
In accordance with the rituals, each day is dedicated to a form of the goddess and each form has a favourite colour. Devotees use the colour in decorations, flowers and even wear clothes of the same colour to appease the goddess.
Earlier, Sushmita Sen had shared a picture of herself decked up in a Bengali traditional avatar on the day that marked the beginning of Navaratri, also known as Mahalaya in Bengal. I pray that She always reside in our hearts, embodying the ‘Shakti’ she so richly represents!! To new beginnings, prosperity, divine happiness & the ultimate #mother #duggadugga.”
