Youth killed during quota protesters’ clash with BCL at New Market area

A 27-year-old man has been killed during sporadic clashes between the quota reform protesters and the activists of the Bangladesh Chhatra League in the New Market area of the capital.

He was taken to the Dhaka Medical College Hospital in a critically injured condition at around 5 pm today, where the doctors declared him dead at around 5:15 pm.

The identity of the deceased has yet to be ascertained.

Bachchu Mia, in charge of the DMCH police camp, confirmed the death.
