Missing college student’s body recovered from Jaflong river

SYLHET:   A team of divers recovered the body of a college student, who went missing in Piyain River in Jaflong of Sylhet on Friday (April 26).

Deceased was, identified as Akikur Rahman Anik, 20, son of Dhola Miah from Nabiganj upazila in Habiganj, was a 1st-year student of the economics department at Murari Chand College, Sylhet.

Divers of Fire Service recovered the body from the river around 12:30am on Saturday (April 27), Hillol Roy, Officer-in-Charge of Gowainghat Police Station, told Banglanews.

Anik drowned at Zero Point area of the river around 2 pm on Friday.
